    The Hawai'i County Office of Aging (HCOA) is planning to obtain Family Caregiver Counseling Services for caregivers of older individuals who are unable to care for themselves and reside in Hawai'i County. Family Caregiver Counseling Services include access, counseling, and caregiver training. Contracts are planned to begin on or after October 01, 2026. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to assist HCOA in obtaining community input for the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) for Family Caregiver Counseling Services. HCOA is specifically interested in feedback and comments regarding the items listed below and we welcome additional comments and suggestions. 1. How can HCOA improve coordination and delivery of family caregiver counseling services for individuals who are caregivers for older individuals, particularly those in rural areas or have limited availability? 2. Describe your workforce capacity to provide consistent, reliable services island-wide. Include your current service rates/fees for counseling services. What strategies do you use to provide services older individuals in rural areas? 3. Provide suggestions for other services and programs for older individuals or family caregivers that may be provided in the future.
