    Specifications and other bid information may be inspected at the Administrator’s Office/Purchasing Department, Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, Convent Station, New Jersey, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A complete set of drawings and specifications may be obtained from Brandstetter Carroll, Inc., 2360 Chauvin Drive, Lexington Kentucky 40517, Phone #859-268-1933. All bidders will have the option of purchasing the documents in PDF format on a disc or through download. The cost of the documents in PDF format on a disc will be $75.00 and include shipping. The cost of downloading the documents in PDF format will be $50.00. Contact Sandy Planck at the phone number noted above or email at splanck@bciaep.com for further information or by purchasing them at the Purchasing Department upon payment of $100.00 payable to the Township of Morris. The project will include the renovation of the Main Pool and Wading Pool at Ginty Pool, located at 35 Fanok Road, Morris Township, NJ. Work will include demolition and replacement of the entire deck, replacement of the coping stone and skimmer with a continuous overflow gutter and installation of a PVC Line system for the remaining walls and floors, also there will be wall and floor demolitions to accommodate a new family activity bay and zero depth entry bay. New diving boards, water slide, and deck equipment will also be installed on the main pool; the wading pool will receive the same PVC liner system, new coping stone, and the addition of a zero depth entry / spray pad with new interactive water features. The filter room will receive new equipment to accommodate the wading pool renovations. New lights will be installed within the pool perimeter fencing. There will be two Add Alternates, Add Alternate No. 1 will be the addition of a Heat Pump for the main pool, Add Alternate No. 2 will be the installation of new solar powered lights. Bids for the contract must be submitted on standard proposal forms furnished by the Township of Morris in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and must be addressed to the Purchasing Department, Township of Morris, 50 Woodland Avenue, PO Box 7603, Convent Station, New Jersey 07961-7603, and clearly marked on the envelope “QPA-1-2014, Township of Morris Pool Renovations – Ginty Pool”, and shall be delivered on or before Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE BID OPENING HAS COMMENCED. The Township of Morris will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500, and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Pursuant to P.L. 2004, c. 57 (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44) effective September 1, 2004, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being nonresponsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17 -27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five days after the opening of the bids. This Proposal is being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et. seq.
