Furthermore, bids must be submitted on WSSC supplier portal prior to the due date. Questions and submittals must be submitted on WSSC supplier portal via online discussions. It is the intent of the Commission to retain a Contractor to provide excavation and replacement of 16” and greater transmission mains, which shall include, but not be limited to, the following types of pipe segments, prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP), ductile iron pipe (DIP), cast iron pipe (CIP), and steel sections throughout Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, Maryland. Excavation shall be required to expose pipe for forensic analysis. Pipe segments may be replaced with different segment material. Such material will be chosen at the discretion of the Commission.
