    Bahamas Power & Light BPL-RFQ-1319/26 Tree Trimming and Overhead Maintenance Eleuthera Mainland Grid Site Walkabout - Thursday March 26th 2026, at 9:00am BPL's Rock Sound's Engineering Office. All travel-related expenses to the site are the sole responsibility of the contractor. BPL will not be responsible for any travel cost related to the site visit. SCOPE OF SERVICES The following stages describes in general, but does not limit the scope of the Services which the Contractor shall be required to perform in Zone 1, 2, 3 and 4 Eleuthera along the main network: ZONE 1 (North Eleuthera) Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Gene Bay Dock and Blackwood Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Lower Bogue Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Current Road Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Road to ELH Airport and Three Island Dock Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Upper Bogue Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Whale Point ZONE 2 (North/Central Eleuthera) Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Gregory Town Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Eleuthera Island Shores Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Hatchet Bay Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Rainbow Bay Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – James Cistern Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Governors Harbour ZONE 3 (Central/South Eleuthera) Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Palmetto Point Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Savannah Sound Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Tarpum Bay Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Rainbow Bay Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Rock Sound ZONE 4 (South Eleuthera) Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Green Castle Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Waterford Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Wemyss Bight Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – John Millars and Bannerman Town Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Deep Creek Right of Way Clearing & Trash Debris Removal – Cape Eleuthera 4a) Trim, Prune or clear trees safely in the vicinity of low voltage and high voltage power lines, which may be energized. Trimmed limbs should not impact private property i.e. cause damage to boundary fences, walls, vehicles etc. This trimming service also relates to clearing vines at terminal poles or on power lines. 4b) Be able to collect and arrange trimmings at site in a manner that is neat and fitting for immediate collection. This arrangement of cut tree trimming debris, vines etc.. are to be arranged in a manner which does not cause an obstruction to road users, pedestrians or hinder access to private property. 4c) Trim Trees in a manner required by BPL utilizing directional pruning methods such as through pruning (V cutting) or side pruning other appropriate techniques to limit tree regrowth near power lines. Trimming techniques utilize should aim to achieve a ten (10) feet clearance of vegetation away from power lines. 4d) Implementing tree trimming at main trunk of trees as opposed to mid-span limb trimming. 4e) Be familiar with safe tree felling techniques, when it is determined that trimming will not result in adequate clearance from power lines and a heightened possibility exists that trees will sway into power lines during adverse weather conditions. All clarification questions must be submitted via the portal prior to the clarification deadline. Your technical and price submissions are to be made via the portal as indicated in the Bid & Pricing Form Sections. No physical submissions will be considered.
