Turner County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Street and Drainage Improvements All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Turner County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the Turner County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Turner County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of date of Notice to Proceed.
