Change orders will not be issued for failure to read the plans or for unfamiliarity with local requirements. The following items should be expected to be subsidiary to the bid. If the contractor expects to encounter any of the following items, it is their responsibility to include cost in your bid to cover the expense. Incomplete bid sections items will not be accepted. All bid materials shall meet Bell County, Jarrell Schwertner Water Supply Corporation, TxDot standards and details shown on the construction plans. Contractor is responsible for submitting material specifications. All excess spoil piles shall be placed and spread on designated area directed by engineers. No spoil piles shall be left onsite unless approved by owner or engineer. Contractor is responsible for removal of large rocks and foreign debris if found. Contractor to maintain all areas of existing vegetation even where construction related activity is not necessary. If any existing vegetation is disturbed, it is the responsibility of the contractor to seed and re-establish vegetation to existing conditions. Contractor is responsible for establishing grass within R.O.W and Swales. If seeding does not take, Contractor to re-seed at his/her own expense. Grass coverage to be 90% prior to releasing retainage. If grass coverage holds up approval of project by Bell County, the Owner can require contractor to install bedded curlex mats on all unvegetated areas. Contractor is to notify engineer and owner of any additional items prior to ordering or placement of materials. If owner and engineer are not notified prior to biding, it will be assumed to be included in contractors bid and a change order will not be issued. SWPPP to be handled by contractors. Bid should include installation of Erosion Control devices and maintenance of each. See note sheet of plans. (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) #2 Any damage caused by contractor including but not limited to offsite fencing, driveway culverts, sidewalks or other private/public improvements will need to be repaired or replaced to equal or better than existing conditions. Any damage done to any existing or proposed utilities within the construction site will need to be repaired or replaced at the contractors expense. Coordination between the contractor, Bell County, Jarrell Schwertner Water supply Corporation, Two Chimneys M.U.D. will be required at times throughout the project. It is the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate all testing, site meetings and inspections for the water line sewer line, storm drain and roadway. Contractor will be responsible for testing and inspection cost and should be included in bid. Contractor needs to prepare number of Calendar days needed to complete their portion of work. Contractor is responsible for preparing any traffic control plans and include any fees for implementation. All desired field changes shall be discussed with engineer and approved prior to the undertaking of said changes. Contractor shall complete all items in this document that were bid upon. If Contractor wishes to claim rain delays, rain days will need to be submitted with monthly invoices for billing. If rain days are not requested within the same billing month they will not be considered at the end of the job.
