Potable water is distributed throughout the City and serves residential, community, commercial, and industrial customers. Recycled water is delivered and used for mostly landscaping purposes. This specification describes requirements for potable and non-potable meters furnished to the City. Meters shall be used for the City’s public water system.The City currently uses an Itron meter reading system that includes the use of the Itron Encoder/Receiver/Transmitter (ERT) and seeks to transition to Nicor connections during future AMI implementation. All meters shall come with Nicor series IV connection and shall be compatible with Itron 100W ERT technology and shall have connectors that work with Itron endpoints.
