    Description

    Installation/replacement of underground electrical conduit and wiring from the existing electrical source at the maintenance building to the pavilion. This is a replcement project for the current damaged line. Approximate underground route length: 430 linear feet. Furnish and install all conduit, conductors, fittings, weatherproof junction boxes, pull boxes, grounding, and related appurtenances. Install underground electrical circuits rated up to 20 Amp, 120/240 Volt service. Install rigid metal or galvanized steel conduit risers into structures as required. Install or replace weatherproof junction boxes as necessary. Contractor shall provide all trenching, directional boring, hand digging, backfilling, restoration, and cleanup. Contractor shall coordinate utility locates prior to construction. Contractor shall protect all existing utilities and infrastructure. Contractor shall restore all disturbed lawn, landscaping, irrigation, and site improvements to original condition. Tunnel or bore beneath the concrete sidewalk whenever feasible to avoid cracking or lifting the slab; or Remove and replace affected concrete sections if necessary. The contractor shall: Obtain all required permits prior to construction. Coordinate all inspections. Include permit costs within the bid amount. All work shall comply with: National Electrical Code (NEC) 2023 State of Michigan Electrical Code Local municipal requirements Minimum installation requirements include: Rigid metal conduit (RMC) or galvanized steel conduit shall be utilized for all underground electrical installations unless otherwise approved by the City. Minimum burial depth per NEC requirements. Copper conductors sized appropriately for voltage drop and intended load. Weatherproof exterior fittings and junction boxes.
