Scope of Work

This Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by BPU is for: Replacement of UPS at BPU’s Electric Control Center located in Kansas City, KS. Replacement of the existing UPS by providing labor and materials for the following: • Disconnect, remove and dispose of (2) existing UPS systems and (1) parallel panel. • Provide and install (2) new 30KVA UPS systems with a parallel cabinet. • Provide and install (5) new beakers in main switchgear. • Provide and install (2) new breakers in bypass panel. • Provide primary injection testing for all new breakers. • Provide and install new feeders properly sized for UPS. • Provide and install control wiring from Bypass panel to UPS for bypass interlock. • Reuse existing interlock key system. • Installation of cabling to Tie cabinet from each UPS. • This installation is going to require one complete outage for up to 8 hours.
