    The Town of Snowmass Village Housing Department is requesting painting bid proposals for Villas North - Exterior Painting This painting work consists of repainting the exterior of 4 apartment buildings. This will include all siding, trim, doors, walkways, decks, handrails, exposed concrete foundations and one dumpster shed. All surfaces that currently have paint will be repainted. Painting specifications and instructions are available from the Housing Office. Interested Contractors may submit sealed proposals to the Snowmass Village Housing Office, P.O Box 6156 located at 555 Deerfield Drive, Snowmass Village, Colorado until: 3:00p.m.Wednesday, May 7, 2014. The Town of Snowmass Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the proposal which is in the Town’s best interest. Proposals must include an attached qualifications summary with previous job references. Proposals will only be accepted from contractors licensed to perform work in the Town of Snowmass Village. BY ORDER OF THE TOWN OF SNOWMASS VILLAGE, COLORADO Joe Coffey Memo to Potential Respondents The following information should be used in preparing your bid for the Villas North apartment building exterior painting. The Housing Department is requesting the painting to begin in mid May or early June and all painting must be completed by August 1, 2014. The painting must be completed on a schedule approved by the Housing Manager. A full time painting crew of five or more painters will be required to efficiently repaint this apartment complex. This job would require approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete depending on the weather conditions. Villas North Apartments The Villas North complex consists of four apartment buildings: #100,200, 300, & 400 which are located at 0141 Snowmass Club Circle. All surfaces shall be repainted, sanded and primed as necessary. For bidding purposes all building exteriors shall be washed, primed where necessary and repainted with the same colors or possibly slightly lighter colors using Sherwin Williams Emerald, or Durations paint. The product submitted must provide an acceptable finish and appearance for five to six years or longer. The painting will include all siding, trim, decks, stairs, handrails, and one trash shed. The apartment entry doors are metal and these doors shall be painted with industrial grade semi gloss latex enamel. All previously painted surfaces including concrete foundations must be included in this bid. All flashing and metal vents should be included in the proposal. The individual apartment deck floors are constructed with composite materials and these decks will not require painting. Areas with peeling paint shall be scraped, sanded, primed and repainted. This work must be completed on the schedule we give the tenants. All the units are fully occupied so window and door masking may not be left on the buildings overnight for any reason. Tenants will be responsible for moving their personal property. Automobiles must be covered when painting in areas where overspray may reach the cars. The Painting Contractor will be responsible for removing all paint overspray from vehicles. The Housing Department will assist the contractor with getting cars removed from the painting area. Contractor must provide a portable rest room facility. The Town of Snowmass Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the proposal which is in the Town’s best interest.
