    Sub-BID Electrical : Quabbin Reservoir Generator Replacement Project DCR Quabbin Reservoir Generator Replacement Project Site #1 - 485 Ware Road, Belchertown, Massachusetts 01007 County: Hampshire Site #2 – Quabbin Hill Road, Ware, Massachusetts 01082 County: Hampshire The project proposes the replacement of two (2) emergency generators for DCR Quabbin Reservoir facilities located in Belchertown and Ware, Massachusetts. The project will result in the removal and installation of two new generator units complete with upgraded automatic transfer switches, remote monitoring systems and fuel storage systems. The project consists of electrical and site modifications as indicated on the drawings. The project is being funded in-part with funding approved from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Estimated project Construction Cost : $ 345,697.00 The work is to be accomplished within 270 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $ 500.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a requirement of 6% of the bid price for minority-owned business enterprises and a requirement of 10% for women-owned business enterprises. The applicable local minority workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 15.3%. The applicable local women workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 6.9%. The Commonwealth requires participation of Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (“VOBE”) on its construction projects. The Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise benchmark for this contract is 3.0%. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit, payable to the Department of Conservation and Recreation in the amount of 5% of the bid.
