The City of Jal, New Mexico is soliciting experienced Design-Build teams for the design, permitting, construction, and commissioning of a new wastewater treatment facility (WWTF).

The project will replace the City’s aging wastewater infrastructure with a reliable, efficient, and regulatory-compliant treatment system capable of meeting the requirements of NMED Groundwater Discharge Permit DP-59. The facility will be designed to operate effectively under variable flow conditions and provide long-term operational simplicity suitable for a small community, and allow for future expansion to accommodate growth.

The project is anticipated to be funded through the New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) Colonias Infrastructure Fund (CIF), with the potential for additional funding sources.

Interested firms are encouraged to review the full Request for Proposals (RFP) for detailed requirements and submission instructions.

The procurement will follow a two-phase design-build selection process which requires detailed technical and cost proposals from shortlisted teams.
