Lakeland Linder International Airport seeks a qualified firm to redesign, host, and maintain its website, focusing on user accessibility, customer experience, and compliance. The contract is for three years with an option to renew. Proposals are due by May 28, 2026.
Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) is seeking the assistance of a qualified website design and development firm to develop, host, and maintain a new website that clearly communicates who the airport is, what the airport offers, how to navigate the airport, and strengthens the public's awareness / knowledge of LAL. User accessibility and customer experience will be core pillars of this project including ensuring the website meets all Federally mandated web accessibility requirements. Serving as the airport's online gateway, the website shall reflect LAL through the integration of our branding guidelines and be of the same quality expected from a world-class commercial service airport. As LAL continues to evolve, our website needs to meet the needs of our growing commercial air service customer base while also serving as an information portal for our established general aviation ecosystem.
This contract will be awarded for a firm three (3) years with one (1) additional three (3) year option to renew.
Firms bidding on this proposal shall include a copy of their standard contract and any terms and conditions for review as supplemental information.
This RFP will be applicable for use by other City of Lakeland departments
With the return of commercial air service in June of 2024, our team has had the opportunity to speak with and learn from our new customer base regarding their online experience. Based on this feedback, and feedback from existing general aviation customers, we have identified a need to update the airport's website. Key items that have been identified include 1) difficultly navigating the website, 2) inability to find specific airline information, 3) difficulty finding contact information - tenants and the airport, 4) lack of tenant use of our online workorder system, and 5) a need to update pages specifically associated with F.S. 332.0075 compliance.
We are now seeking proposals from qualified website design and development firms to evaluate our existing website and complete a full redesign that is modern, user-friendly, visually engaging, and optimized for both desktop and mobile users. The redesigned site should better reflect LAL’s role as Central Florida’s newest gateway for commercial air service while also showcasing our general aviation operations, tenants, services, and community impact. The new website should improve the overall customer experience by making key information easy to find for multiple audiences, including commercial passengers, pilots, tenants, businesses, community partners, and prospective stakeholders. Additionally, the airport will need to have the ability to post alerts, surveys, and specific project pages (for public information purposes) as required and operationally necessary.
“I attest no City of Lakeland employee, their spouse, or child has an ownership stake in this organization.”
A certificate of existing insurance coverage should be submitted with the proposal as proof of insurability. If the current coverage does not meet the RFP requirements, then the Respondent should request an affidavit of insurability from the Respondent’s insurance agent that certifies the requirements can and will be met.
THIS RFP SHALL BE VALID FOR SIXTY (60) DAYS FROM DATE OF OPENING.
