    1. BackgroundThe FoundationCCC recognizes the critical role California Community Colleges play in providing welding, equipment, supplies and services. The system has identified the need to provide welding equipment, supplies, software, licenses and services and all products in support of a Participating Agency’s curricula, instructional, educational goals including but not limited to the following broad categories:• Welding Machines • Welding Simulator • Welding Workstation• Wire Feeders • Welding Tutoring Station • Cutting Machine• Gas Cylinder Racks • Supplies and Accessories • Gas Cylinders• Wire Feeders • Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Pre-Bid Meeting Information: Yes Online Q&A: Yes Location Information: Department: CCC Bid Lab Address: 1102 Q Street, Suite 4800Sacramento, California95811 County: Sacramento Other Details: The FoundationCCC has identified forty (40) categories (item numbers) that are organized into fifteen (15) classifications of products and services, which are described in Attachment D. If respondent categorizes products differently, enter your Category Name when responding to the pricing requirements in Section IV, Sub-Section 2, Item A. Bidders must clearly state the range of products included in their bid. When responding to Attachment D, Respondent should be mindful of instructions provided in Section IV, Sub-Section 2: Pricing and Product Requirement. While the above categories and classifications are representative of the required products in support of curricula, it is not an all-inclusive list. The purpose of this RFP is to secure discounts from list prices for not only the specified items found in Attachment D but for all products in a Respondent’s catalog (see Section IV Sub-Section 1. Item G.8.) Although there is a diverse list of products for welding equipment, supplies and services anticipated through this procurement, it is the goal of this RFP to Award contracts to responsible Respondents that can provide multiple products and services to Participating Agencies to reduce the need for multiple providers for specific projects. Awarded Respondents will not only provide the products anticipated by this procurement but to also provide design consultation, engineering, installation and all services required to provide turnkey solutions to Participating Agencies. Respondents shall have the requisite product knowledge and demonstrate the ability to integrate products with available software and current Participating Agency current infrastructure.
