The Project is anticipated to include some or all of the following items within its scope: (i) demolition of existing Well 6 facilities with the exception of the well pump and motor; (ii) preparation of site including tree removal and construction staking; (iii) construction of CMU building with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Variable Frequency Drive (“VFD”), and chemical equipment; (iv) installation of instrumentation controls, security controls, SCADA, and chemical feeds; (v) storm water pollution prevention; (vi) installation of emergency generator and automatic transfer switch; (vii) two (2) chemical bulk storage canopies; (viii) flowmeter, valves, and approximately 135 linear feet (“LF”) of 14-inch ductile iron pipe; (ix) installation of fencing and gates; (x) site grading; (xi) driveway; (xii) restoration; and (xiii) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project.
Addendum 1 has been posted, answering the questions received. An Addendum 2 will be posted on April 2, 2026, with additional information.
Addendum 2 includes a revised Exhibit A- Insurance Requirements and Exhibit B- Contractor's bid form, which replace the versions originally posted within the RFP contract documents. Addendum 2 also contains construction specification revisions and Contractor questions received with answers. The pre-proposal meeting attendee sign-in sheet and geotech report have been attached for reference.
Addendum 3 corrects a warranty error in the specifications.
The New Braunfels Utilities is accepting electronic bid submissions. Bidders shall create a FREE account with OpenGov Procurement by signing up at https://procurement.opengov.com/signup. Please have the Bidder Name, Contract Title ("Well 6 Improvements"), and Contract Number ("26-0047A") listed clearly on the outside of the envelope.
The contract shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall be returned, together with the Payment Bond, Performance Bond and Certificate(s) of Insurance to New Braunfels Utilities so that it is received within 14 working daysafter the bidder has received the contract for execution. Failure to do so shall be just cause for forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
