The New York City Department of Education seeks proposals from organizations experienced in working with schools in need of whole school reform. The ultimate goal is for the program designs to function as transitional plans that ultimately lead to the ability of schools to continue reform efforts on their own. Component A: Elementary School (Pre-K to 5) Component B: Middle School (6 to 8) Component C: High School (9 to 12) The purpose of this MTAC is to solicit organizations that can support: Schools newly created to replace those that have been phased out or downsized due to underperformance. Schools identified by the NYSED to be: - In need of improvement, - In need of corrective action, - In need of restructuring or designated as under registration review (SURR) and/or - Persistently lowest achieving (PLA) and requiring significant intervention.
