AI Summary
Refinishing of three clarifiers at Wilderness Wastewater Treatment Facility to repair concrete degradation and restore metal equipment. Includes cleaning, coating, and inspection. Mandatory pre-bid conference on February 6.
This project includes the refinishing of the three (3) clarifiers at the Wilderness Wastewater Treatment Facility. The purpose of the work is to address the ongoing degradation of the concrete, which has become more porous with exposed aggregate, leading to increased algae growth, and to restore the internal metal equipment, which is peeling and flaking. Each clarifier will be taken offline individually to allow recoating of the concrete structures and internal metal equipment as shown on the project drawings. Clarifiers will be drained, cleaned, and prepared to receive the specified coatings. Internal metal equipment will be removed, surface-prepared, and coated prior to reinstallation. All coated equipment will be reinstalled and inspected by the Owner before clarifier start-up. Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference: February 6, 1pm at the Treatment Plant.
