No pre-bid conference has been scheduled under this solicitation This is a federally funded project and subject to Davis Bacon wage requirements. Each bid must be accompanied by a Surety Bond, cashier’s or certified check or postal money order equal to 10 percent of the bid, made payable to the Treasurer of Maricopa County as a guarantee that if the work is awarded to the bidder; the bidder will, within ten (10) days from the date of Notice of Award, enter into proper contract and bond condition for the faithful performance of the work, otherwise said amount will be forfeited to the Board of Supervisors as liquidated damages. For this contract, a DBE goal of 0% is established for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The contractor, sub recipient or subcontractor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance of this contract. The contractor shall carry out applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts. Failure by the contractor to carry out these requirements is a material breach of this contract, which may result in the termination of this contract or such other remedy as the recipient deems appropriate. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.252.42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered. All construction work on this contract is to be completed within 90 CALENDAR DAYS beginning with the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The cost of this work shall be included in the price paid for ARAC or other related pay items. Engineer requested imported material for shoulder adjustment is not included in the price paid for the ARAC.
