Imperial Irrigation District (IID), an irrigation district established under Division 11 of the California Water Code, Sections 20500 et seq., that provides non-potable water, farm drainage and power services to the lower southeastern portion of California's desert, is requesting proposals from highly qualified Respondents to:Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to perform pole reinforcements on wood poles for the transmission and distribution poles located in the Imperial and Coachella Valley areas.• IID has identified approximately 210 poles requiring reinforcement, with 99% being transmission poles and 1% being distribution poles.• The selected reinforcement method must restore each pole to a minimum of 85% of its original design strength.• Acceptable reinforcement methods include standard trusses, double trusses, tall trusses, double tall trusses, and Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) wraps per Attachment E Specifications• Work will be controlled with the issuance of work packets with confirmed work locations and quantitiesCRITICAL DATES FOR ACTION:1. Responses will not be accepted from respondents not attending this mandatory meeting (See attached files). Prospective respondents must be present at the start of the mandatory meeting. Anyone not signed in at the official start of the meeting will be considered late and will not be allowed to submit a proposal. Anyone who does not attend the entire mandatory meeting will not be credited with attending.2.
