    Section 00 11 13 Advertisement for Bids Sealed proposals for the WTP Pump Station Intake Valve Replacement project, in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 AM, April 15, 2026 and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber of the Quincy City Hall. The project includes removal of submerged 36” pipe & gate valves; furnishing & installing three (3) 36” electrically actuated cast iron sluice gates; furnishing & installing one (1) 36” fabricated stainless steel mud valve; constructing PCC access stairs and PCC barrier curb; furnishing & installing chain link fencing; demolition of masonry structure; relocation of electrical lighting controls; and related construction items. Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of the Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
