The Town of North Attleborough, acting through the Town Manager and the Board of Public Works, is requesting bids and proposals for WWTF Mechanical Services FY27.

Background

The Town of North Attleborough is located in Bristol County, Massachusetts, and operates under a recently adopted city form of government with a Town Manager and a nine‑member Town Council. Although it is officially a city, North Attleborough retains the traditional “Town of” designation and continues to provide a full range of municipal services to its residents. In addition to general governmental operations, the Town maintains its own public school system, public safety departments, a public library, and various community facilities. Historically rooted in manufacturing—particularly jewelry, metals, and textile‑related industries—the Town continues to support a diversified local economy and community‑focused services.

North Attleborough is situated at the northwest corner of Bristol County and encompasses approximately 19 square miles with several rivers, ponds, and natural areas. First settled in the 17th century as part of the early Rehoboth and Attleborough communities, the Town has grown to a year‑round population of more than 30,000 residents. Its landscape includes residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and notable recreational resources such as World War I Memorial Park and the North Attleborough Arboretum. The community is supported by major regional transportation routes—including Interstates 95 and 295, U.S. Route 1, and access to nearby MBTA commuter rail stations—linking North Attleborough to Boston, Providence, and surrounding municipalities.
