    Description

    The Saint Louis Zoo seeks proposals from qualified exhibit fabrication firms to fabricate, coordinate, install, test, and commission the exhibits for the WildCare Park Zoo-Museum experience. The The fabrication and installation of the Zoo Museum exhibit needs to be completed by March 1, 2027. The exhibits will be installed with a facility currently under construction as part of the WildCare Park development. The exhibit design is being developed by the Zoo's selected exhibit design consultant, which is responsible for: Concept development Exhibit design Graphic design Interpretive planning and storytelling Visitor experience planning Preparation of exhibit design documents The selected exhibit fabricator shall work collaboratively with the exhibit design consultant and the Saint Louis Zoo to translate the approved design intent into a complete, fully operations visitor experience. The building the exhibit is in is, anticipated to be completed by October 2026, shall include, but is not limited to: Exhibit structures and scenic elements Graphic panels, murals, and graphic rails Exhibit casework, plinths, and platforms Physical interactive exhibits Audiovisual systems and media integration Digital media components Specialty lighting elements Interpretive displays and educational features Other exhibit components necessary to deliver the intended visitor experience The exhibit fabricator shall serve as the single point of responsibility for all exhibit fabrication and installation activities. The Zoo intends to award one contract covering the complete exhibit package. Prosposers must submit pricing for all exhibit elements identified in the proposal documents, including but not limited to exhibit structures, graphics, casework, plinths, platforms, audiovisual hardware procurement, audiovisual integration, and associated installation services. The exhibit design documents provided with this RFP represent a 100% Final Design Set intended to communicate design intent. These documents are not construction documents. The selected exhibit fabricator shall be responsible for: Exhibit detailing and fabrication engineering Development of shop drawings and fabrication drawings Material selection and procurement Coordination of fabrication and installation activities Coordination with the exhibit design consultant during the detailing process Resolution of constructability issues Testing, commissioning, and final turnover of all exhibit systems All shop drawings and fabrication details shall be submitted for review and approval by the exhibit design consultant and the Saint Louis Zoo prior to fabrication. The exhibit fabricator shall coordinate and integrate its work with the project's partner Gallagher Design , including but not limited to audiovisual integrators, lighting contractors, technology providers, and other project vendors whose work interfaces with the exhibit installation.
