    NEW GUIDANCE and REQUIREMENTS FOR FY2025 HOW TO APPLY: See the 2025 Request for Application Guidance document on our website: https://parks.ny.gov/grants/zbga-capital-grant-program OVERVIEW: This is a request for applications for the NYS fiscal year 2025-26, non- competitive Zoos, Botanical Gardens, and Aquaria Capital Grant Program (ZBGA CAP) totaling $10 million dollars. These grants provide eligible NYS local governments and not-for-profit organizations funding to undertake strategic capital improvements to their facilities to help deliver on their missions, contribute economic benefit to their local areas, and provide their communities with robust educational programs and natural heritage collections in a safe and accessible environment. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Only open to the following: Applicants must be a current awardee of a 2021-2026 OPRHP Zoo Botanical Gardens & Aquaria Operational Support grant (ZBGA OS), which funds operational expenses for their Natural Heritage Collection located in NYS. OPRHP will accept only one application from eligible entities for project scopes that are not currently funded by OPRHP. ELIGIBLE CAPITAL PROJECTS: This program is for new capital projects which will benefit your organizations currently awarded ZBGA OS natural heritage collection (NHC). This can include the construction of new facilities and the renovation or restoration of existing buildings or collection sites, as well as the permanent installation of new, complete fixed equipment systems. Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: N/A
