0417 SPRING MEADOWS NATIONAL RECREATION AREA EXCAVATOR AND LOADER RENTAL FLETCHER

The Spring Meadows National Recreation Area is seeking quotes to rent and excavator and loader for 1 month, with 2 options months, beginning on approximately 9/30/2025.

3.1- Excavator Technical Requirements

1. Machine Tail swing must be zero-turn
2. Necessary machine attachments: Heavy duty rock bucket minimum width 36” maximum width 42” with thumb.
3. Machine weight must be not more than 63,000 lb and not less than 55,000 lb’
4. Machine rated horsepower of not less than 175HP  metric
5. Maximum operating hours: 1000
6. Machine Cab must be enclosed and conditioned (heat and airconditioning)
7. Minimum Maximum Digging Depth 22 feet
8. Minimum boom reach 18’8”
9. Minimum stick reach 9.5’
10. Quick attach to change buckets
11. Must have a joy stick operated thumb control (no foot control)
12. Hydraulic controls must switch easily between SAE or BHL configuration for individual operators preference.
13. Buckets must not have any tears or stress cracks so as to cause damage or failure under normal use.
14. All grease fittings capable of of accepting grease.
15. Must be in a condition  to meet minimum OSHA construction standards.

3.2- Loader Technical Requirements

1. Machine minimum Max HP 250HP
2. Machine maximum operating weight 43,000lb
3. Machine Bucket Capacity must exceed 5yd
4. Must have a quick detach bucket for changing attachments (primarily for the purpose of fork attachments)
5. Maximum speed must exceed 24mph
6. Maximum operating hours: 1000
7. Buckets must not have any tears or stress cracks so as to cause damage or failure under normal use.
8. All grease fittings capable of of accepting grease.
9. Must be in a condition  to meet minimum OSHA construction standards.
10. Machine Cab must be enclosed and conditioned (heat and airconditioning)
