U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of:

The object of this sole source award to M & S INC is for the purchase and delivery of standardized multi-mesh gill nets used by state, tribal, and federal agencies in the Great Lakes to assess juvenile lake sturgeon. The gill nets must meet the below exact specifications to maintain standardized surveys that have been conducted by agencies around Lake Superior since 2011.
- 1,000' Long x 6' Deep
- 3 Panels, repeated to complete 1000'
- 300' - 2-1/4" Sq(4-1/2" Str) .33mm(#104) tied at 4 meshes per 9"
- 100' - 4" Sq(8" str) .52mm(#208) tied at 2 meshes per 8"
- 100' - 5" Sq(10" str) .52mm(#208) tied at 2 meshes per 10"
- Top Rope:1/2" Foamcore with Fl-125 floats on each side of netting splice on foam core rope
- Bottom Rope: 50lb Leadcore
- Side Lines: 1/8" Braided Nylon
- Tied with # 15 twine
*Netting may have cut edges to accomplish depth
