    Description

    The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Engineering Services Division, In Service Vessel Sustainment branch has a requirement to procure components to support the Government installation of the Coast Guard Machinery Propulsion System to be installed on a 175’ WLM Keeper Class Buoy Tenders during their scheduled Major Maintenance Availability (MMA).  Vendor shall be required to package components into one (1) kit.  The main components and quantities included in the kit are indeitifed in Attachment 1.  It is the Government’s belief that these components can only be procured from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Rockwell Automation.  The Government does not possess the technical and engineering data required to evaluate alternate part numbers.  All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM.  However, firms that have the capability of obtaining these components can submit their capabilities within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date this notice is posted.  Information submitted must include: (1) Verification offerors can obtain the part numbers identified; (2) information that components have previously been provided to the Government, including previous contract information.  This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede the award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.103-1.
