The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation Contracting Office, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Compass Minerals America under authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, for the 2025/2026 500 Tons of Bulk Rock Salt. This award is in accordance with the St. Lawrence County Government contract. St. Lawrence County is a government division under NYS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325998. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the 2025/2026 500 Tons of Bulk Rock Salt. The anticipated cost is $37,000.00. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
