This order is for program management as well as test and engineering support to improve the BDU-59C/B by continuing the development and testing of a twin lug carriage. Contract Award is anticipated for Q2 of 2026.
This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302‐1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement.

However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted.
