    Notice of Intent to Sole Source. This Notice of Intent is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.101(a)(1).

    The United States Air Force (USAF), 316th Contracting Squadron, intends to award a sole source (Only One Responsible Source) Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to ADB Safegate.

    The proposed commodity will be utilized by the 316 CES to provide Airfield Lighting Parts to Joint Base Andrews, MD. JBA currently utilizes ADB Safegate equipment and software. Market research revealed that no other manufacturer would be able to provide lighting fixtures required for these repairs that meet the UFC requirements mentioned in section C of the attached document. Award will be made directly to ADB Safegate IAW FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements”.  The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 335139, Electric Lamp Bulb and Other Lighting Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees.

    This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice, and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement.  If no response is received by 4:30 pm EDT, 29 May 2025, an award will be pursued with the company mentioned above.  All responses shall reference solicitation number FA286025Q4013 and be sent via electronic mail to Mr. Michael Besiryan at michael.besiryan@us.af.mil and Mr. Cameron Cox at cameron.cox.8@us.af.mil. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored.
