55 MXS ENCLOSED TRAILERS

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals; the 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt Air Force Base, NE, is seeking information for market research purposes only for the following services listed below:

Two enclosed trailers are required to provide a secure and mobile platform for transporting critical CDDAR equipment and supplies to aircraft recovery sites both on and off Offutt AFB. The trailers will house equipment such as railroad ties, steel plates, compressors, water pumps, lifting bags, and the CDDAR Composite Tool Kit (CTK). Having dedicated trailers will ensure rapid deployment of essential resources, minimizing delays in recovery efforts, and preventing further damage to aircraft or the surrounding environment. The trailers will also provide protection from the elements for sensitive equipment. 

This is a new requirement.

 The CDDAR team requires two enclosed trailers meeting the following specifications: 
• Quantity: 2 
• Type: Enclosed 
• Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): 9,600lbs (per trailer) 
• Dimensions: Suitable to accommodate the necessary equipment for CDDAR response. Estimated: 8'6" wide X 7' tall X 24' long 
• Axles: Tandem axle 4.8K rubber torsion, with (4) GY tire/rim ST225/75R15 LRE 6-hole silver aluminum wheels 
• Spare Tire: Carrier spare tire for bumper pulls mounted inside low on front wall 
• Coupler: 2 5/16" 21K drag 
• Jack: Crank type with wheel 
• Lighting: LED 12V/20W strip 1" x .25" x 24" white 6000K lighting with switch. 
• Floor: Smooth extruded aluminum flooring 
• Ramp: Rear full height and width ramp with cable assist, pressure latches, treadplate, and vinyl hinge covers 
 
 
• Door: Camper deluxe 36"wide without window and with deadbolt. 
• Nose: Aero Nose 
• Additional Features: Skid plate, recessed swivel D-ring stainless steel 6000 lb capacity (4), Gravel guard up 22"
