This is potentially a Brand Name Requirement. Offutt AFB is seeking sources/requesting information on the market availability for the followign requirement:

 

1. This requirement is for Kontek Industries Mobile Response Shields (MRS) for the Security Forces Squadron on Offutt AFB, this advanced protection ensures that first responders can swiftly and securely engage and protect against incoming rounds up to 7.62mm, making it invaluable in high-risk and deadly force incidents. Contractor shall provide equipment to meet the required specifications below.

1. The Mobile Response Shields (MRS) items provided shall meet or exceed the following requirements:

THREE MOBILE RESPONSE SHIELDS (MRS):

• provides up to NIJ level IV protection
• Must be designed to protect from incoming rounds up to 7.62mm
• Must be individual and team maneuverable across all terrains and environments for dynamic fast-paced incidents
• Must also be able to be operated and maneuvered through hallways, doorways, and loading docks
• Must be on heavy duty wheels and allow for 360-degree turns
• Must provide full body protection for a person of average human height.
• Must have collapsible side/flank shields making it an adaptable mobile and defensive fighting position
• Must allow for the simultaneous ability to return fire by operators
• Shipping/Freight to Offutt AFB, Nebraska
