    Page 1 of 1 36C25026Q0043 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TheraSphere Y-90 Nuclear Med The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5 and 41 U.S.C. § 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Boston Scientific, 300 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, MA 01752, for TheraSphere Y-90 Doses. TheraSphere, Y-90 glass microsphere is a therapeutic agent used to treat unresectable primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma. It consists of microscopic glass spheres that are attached to a radioactive isotope (Y-90) and then injected into the patient. The spheres are trapped in the liver where they can treat liver cancer. The Government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5 and 41 U.S.C. § 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9AM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available at this time.
