POC: Sanchez Reid Mail all responses only to: Sanchez.Reid@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Case Medical, Inc of Bloomfield, NJ, to supply Stainless Steel Case Carts. This equipment is required for the safe and compliant transport of reusable medical devices (RDM) within the Sterile Processing Service (SPS).

    Salient Characteristics:

    • Durable all stainless steel construction
    • Exterior push handles for better control and more interior space
    • Stainless steel perforated shelves (made of a single sheet of stainless steel) that are fully adjustable and may be disassembled for cleaning. The shelf design avoids tears when removing wrapped sets from the cart. The flexible design maximizes storage space and transportability.  A latching mechanism will be provided for the adjustable shelves so they cannot move forward during transport.
    • A single door with a side catches that will hold the door open when putting items in the cart or during cleaning.  The catch is released by lifting it up.
    • Shock-absorbing, locking wheels with cart washable, stainless-steel casters.
    • Stainless steel wrap-around bumper
    • Configuration for standard sized containers of a depth that accommodates containers for easy viewing of labels, indicators and plaques
    • Disposition monitors that permanently adhere to the case cart to differentiate clean from soiled (biohazard) contents

    This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made based on proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to the requirement. They should furnish detailed data concerning their abilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received before July 8, 2026. A determination by the government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the government s discretion. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Sanchez.Reid@va.gov and received by 12:00 PM EST on July 8, 2026. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contract specialist/contracting officer on time.
