NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole-source contract to Olympus America Inc in accordance with FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B). The Richmond Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) request Olympus Scopes/ Arietta. The justification for this non-competitive solicitation is due to Olympus America Inc, being the sole supplier of requested items to the VA Hospital. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with 1,000 employees. Sole source items plus associated equipment: The items that will be purchased is the Olympus Arietta and supporting equipment. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no Solicitation will be issued. Market research has determined that this product is highly specialized and only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of supply will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of April 30, 2025, to Olympus America Inc | 3500 Corporate Parkway | Center Valley, PA 18034|.
