The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to support the procurement of a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) System. This notice serves to survey the market in an attempt to ascertain whether or not sources are capable of providing the requested supplies/services. This notice allows potential contractors/vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. The qualifying North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. Additionally, this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification(s) (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SD/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 339112 and Size Standard of 1,000 employees. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After reviewing the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors are requested to respond to this notice but are required to respond to the official solicitation announcement in order to be awarded the contract. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify vendors capable of providing a TMS System for use in a clinical setting. The system will support evidence-based, non-invasive neuromodulation treatments for Veterans diagnosed with major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders, including smoking addiction/smoking cessation. The Government seeks information on commercially available TMS solutions, including associated accessories, software, and support services, to determine capabilities, availability, and potential acquisition strategies for a future procurement.
