    NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Bactec MGIT 960 Mycobacterial Detections System The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Becton, Dickinson and Company, BD Diagnostics of Sparks Glencoe, MD to provide FDA Approved Cost Per Test BACTEC MGIT 960 mycobacterial detection system to the Miami VA Medical Center. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency s requirements. The Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 325413. Period of Performance: Base: 10/01/2025 09/30/2026 OY1: 10/01/2026 09/30/2027 OY2: 10/01/2027 09/30/2028 OY3: 10/01/2028 0930/2029 OY4: 10/01/2029 09/30/2030 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available, and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer at john.quijadajr@va.gov . Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the CO will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Becton, Dickinson and Company, BD Diagnostics.
