    Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 6 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 6 DESCRIPTION NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT SOLE SOURCE Diasorin Molecular LLC Molecular Biology/Virology Testing Reagents and Supplies Response Due Date: March 18th, by 3:00PM (EST) Requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Consolidated Laboratory (NCL) of VISN 1 New England is in need of a 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for molecular biology/virology testing reagents and supplies. The projected Period of Performance for this Procurement is 05/01/2026 04/30/2031. These reagents and supplies, manufactured and distributed solely by Diasorin Molecular LLC, are required for the operation of VA owned equipment and must be specific to the equipment already in place. The testing equipment, reagents, and supplies have been extensively validated. These supplies are for virology diagnostic testing and are consistent with the VHA 1106 Directive for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services. Period of Performance: Year 1: 05/01/2026 04/30/2027 Year 2: 05/01/2027 04/30/2028 Year 3: 05/01/2028 04/30/2029 Year 4: 05/01/2029 04/30/2030 Year 5: 05/01/2030 04/30/2031 The authority for applying Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services under FAR 13.5 is  10 U.S.C. 3205-3208 and 41 U.S.C.3305. The intent is to procure the referenced products on a sole source basis. No solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) for this requirement is 325413. All responsible sources that feel they should be considered qualified to provide the above-mentioned products may submit a response to this notice (by the response due date shown above) to Sarah.Otis@va.gov. The information provided shall include detailed (and relevant) documentation to allow the government to perform adequate market research and make a proper determination. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.
