Subject: Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for Freezer Repair Services

Description: The 140th Mission Support Group contracting office intends to award a sole source contract to Jim Jam Inc dba Envirotech Heating and Cooling, an 8(a) certified firm, for emergency repair services to a critical freezer unit located at Bucklet Space Force Base. Failure of this freezer repair critically endangers mission readiness and troop welfare. It disables Air National Guard's ability to feeding members during drills and limits Force Support Squadron capabilities, leading to: Compromised operational readiness due to undernourished troops, a health and safety threat from spoiled food, and an undermined support mission. These are fundamental threats demanding immediate action for restoration and risk mitigation, ensuring operational readiness and troop safety.

Justification: Due to the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate repair to minimize operational disruption, coupled with the allowance to sole source to 8(a) vendors per FAR Part 19.8,Envirotech Heating and Cooling has been identified as the source capable of providing the required services within the necessary timeframe.

Response: Interested parties who believe they can provide these services are invited to submit a statement of capabilities to 140.wg.msc@us.af.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
