AIR COMPRESSOR MAINTENANCE

The 532nd Training Squadron requires preventive air compressor maintenance. Biannual preventive maintenance and repair services for a mission-critical Ingersoll Rand Model R160I-A125 rotary screw air compressor, serial number V1859U13149. These specialized services include all labor, parts, and expertise required to ensure the compressor's continued operation, supporting essential training for air-launched cruise missile maintainers.  The required maintenance must be performed by a vendor with demonstrable expertise on this specific compressor model to maintain the integrity of the equipment and ensure the effectiveness of the training program.    

Market research indicates that Ingersoll-Rand Industrial is only local company capable of fulfilling this requirement due to the lack of competition for this specialized service. Biannual preventive maintenance and repair services for a mission-critical Ingersoll Rand Model R160I-A125 rotary screw air compressor, serial number V1859U13149. These specialized services include all labor, parts, and expertise required to ensure the compressor's continued operation, supporting essential training for air-launched cruise missile maintainers.  The required maintenance must be performed by a vendor with demonstrable expertise on this specific compressor model to maintain the integrity of the equipment and ensure the effectiveness of the training program.   The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This is a notice of intent to award a sole source action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days of publication of this Special Notice.

Firms who want to challenge the sole source determination must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent supply as described above. Interested parties must provide a rationale as to why they should be considered. Respond to the below point of contact by 23 July 2025, 1300 (PST). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is soley within discretion of the Government. The 30th Contracting Squadron will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing capability information.
