ALR-56M (FREQUENCY CONVERTERS)

The RFP and resultant contract will be structured with one Basic Contract Period of 12 months, and four annual ordering periods and will be sole source to General Microwave Corporation.

FAR Part 15 Procedures will be utilized.

Solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from SAM.gov only and no hard copies will be issued.  Restricted to General Microwave Corporation, Authority FAR 6.302 Justification: Supplies or Services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency’s requirements.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal which shall be considered by the agency.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.

This requirement is for the purchase of the Frequency Converter, NSN 5963-01-604-5192EW, Part Number (P/N) 330381-702. It is mainly applicable to the AN/ALR-56M Electronic Warfare Weapon System within the F-16 C/D and the C-130J aircrafts. The Frequency Converter is a sub-component of the AN/ALR-56M Direction Finding Receiver Line Replacement Unit. The AN/ALR-56M Advanced Radar Warning Receiver continuously detects and intercepts radio frequency signals in certain frequency ranges and analyzes and separates threat signal from non-threat signals. It displays threat signals to the pilot on a priority basis.
