    Description

    11/12/2025 - AMENDMENT 0001

This solicitation is amended to provide answers from industry questions.

QUESTION: Could you provide general program background? What is the intent of this hardware? What is your timeline?

ANSWER: We are generating simulated sonar signals to test sonar arrays.  We’re looking for a replacement for our existing digital-to-analog cards which are obsolete.

QUESTION: Have you used UEI before and do you have existing hardware you will interface with? What chassis do you have?

ANSWER: No, we’ve never used UEI before. We are using a Dell PowerEdge server, and we planned to install the cards directly in that server.

QUESTION: PCIe-based analog output cards capable of providing 128 channels of analog signals in a maximum of 4 PCIe slots. Is this a hard requirement?

ANSWER: Our software will be hosted on a Dell PowerEdge server running Linux.  As long as our software is able to communicate with the hardware, a non-PCIe would be acceptable.

QUESTION: Our high-density cards cap out at 16 bits - is that acceptable?

ANSWER: 16 bits is going to be unacceptable. The requirement is a18-bit as a minimum.

QUESTION: How many seats are needed?

    ANSWER: One seat.
