AMPV DESCRIPTION The AMPV is a tracked vehicle and the materiel solution to replace the Armys Armored Personnel Carrier (M113) Family of Vehicles (FoV) within the Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT). There are five AMPV variants (General Purpose, Medical Evacuation, Medical Treatment, Mission Command, and Mortar Carrier) replacing the corresponding M113 FoV operational support mission roles.
