AXIB II - AIRBORNE EXPENDABLE ICE BEACON (ARCTIC BUOYS)

Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose, " this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice to provide Airborne Expendable Ice Beacon (AXIB) II rugged, drifting buoys that can survive the annual freeze/thaw cycles and the harsh sea ice conditions of the Seaonal Ice Zone of the Arctic and Southern oceans for the Naval Ice Center (NAVICE). This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This does not constitute a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government plans to procure these as a Commercial product as defined in FAR 2.101. 

NAICS CODE: 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, and the Size Standard is 750 employees.

Delivery Location: Polar Science Center/Applied Physics Laboratory 

University of Washington Seattle, WA

List of technical Specifications: Please reference the attached List of Technical Specifications which include the qunatity of each commercial product the Depratment of the Navy may seek to procure. 

The Government expects a required delivery date of 90 days from date of award. 

Responses to this Sources Sought request shall reference N6306125RC00CFS. Responses shall includ ethe following information in this format:

1. Company name, address, POC name, phone number and email.

2. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) code.

3. Size of Business - Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned.

4. If products included in the attached List of Technical Specifications can be solicitaed from your company's GSA, SeaPort-NxG, or NASA SEWP V contract vehicle, please provide the applicable contract number.

5. Please specify if your company is an authorized reseller/dealer or similar for any of the products/brands included in the attached List of Technical Specifications.

Submissions are not to exceed three (3) standard typewritten pages.

Respondents will not be notified of results. Please note the information within this Sources Sought Notice will be updated and/or may change prior to an official synopsis/solicitation is issued, if any.
