BRAND NAME / EQUAL: IMPACT ECHO SYSTEM

This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number W913E525QA001 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).

The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 – Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing Industry, which has a small business standard size of 600 employees.  This requirement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 19.502-2. 

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) at Fort Wainwright, Alaska has a requirement to procure the Brand Name or Equal for following items:

1. One (1) Olson Instruments brand NDE360 or equivalent multiple system platform for performing spectral analysis of surface waves.
2. One (1) Olson Instruments brand spectral analysis of surface waves (SASW-S) or equivalent system for performing impact echo tests.
3. One (1) Olson Instruments brand IE-1 or equivalent impact echo system

No substitutions or alternative items. Please reference the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) W913E525QA001 for clauses, provisions, and offeror instructions.  

The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers; 1) technical ability of authorized distributor to provide the requested Brand Name or Equal Olson Instruments, and 2) price. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer represents the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer.
