    Description

    THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A COMPETITIVE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
    The National Park Service, Con Ops Central, Lakewood Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Sole Source award project for Architect Engineering Services to update and finalize existing construction documents for the stabilization of the Spruce Tree House alcove rock wall located at Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.

    Work includes reviewing, revising, and updating all construction drawings, cost estimates, design calculations, closeout O&M requirements, the submittal list, and the division 1 & 2, specifications, to reflect current requirements for structural and special inspections for rock boring and bolt stabilization. The final deliverable will include a completed construction document package with stamped specifications and drawings and all associated CAD files.

    The National Park Service intends to procure Architect Engineering Services to update and finalize existing construction documents for the stabilization of the Spruce Tree House alcove rock wall from one source, the designer of record, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This will be a negotiated acquisition resulting in a firm fixed price contract and will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541330 with a Small Business Size Standard of $25.5 million. This is a Sole Source Notice and not a request for proposal. No solicitation document is available with this notice.
    Any firm that believes it has the capabilities to provide the architect and engineering services described above may contact the Contracting Officer, Nicollette Kennemer at nicollette_kennemer@nps.gov for more information regarding the requirement or specifications. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be made at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for support of the Government's determination to support of a non-competitive strategy.
