Scope of Work:
The Contractor shall provide a qualified technical representative and all equipment necessary to perform stern tube bearing alignment surveys on CGC PIKE (an 87’ WPB Cutter), during a scheduled drydock availability. The work includes optical or laser shaft alignment services performed in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.
Following Government removal of both port and starboard shafts, the Contractor will:
Perform alignment surveys IAW USCG Drawing 87 WPB 243-003 and other technical references.
Record vertical and athwartship alignment positions at all required target points.
Measure stern tube/seal flange and reduction gear centerline position.
Minimize thermal effects by scheduling surveys for evening or early morning.
Provide a final report with results and any correction recommendations.

Security Requirements:
All contractor personnel working on site must wear visible contractor-issued ID and identify themselves as contractors while on government property.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Base work shall occur on or about (OOA) 16–20 June 2025.
Option tasks will be performed as needed based on findings from the base alignment checks and at the direction of the Government.

CLIN 0001 – Base – Shaft 1 Initial Bearing Alignment Check (OOA 16–20 June 2025)
CLIN 0001AA – Option – Shaft 1 Realignment Check (TBD, if required)
CLIN 0001AB – Option – Shaft 1 Post-Realignment Check (2–3 days after realignment, if required)
CLIN 0002 – Base – Shaft 2 Initial Bearing Alignment Check (OOA 16–20 June 2025)
CLIN 0002AA – Option – Shaft 2 Realignment Check (TBD, if required)
CLIN 0002AB – Option – Shaft 2 Post-Realignment Check (2–3 days after realignment, if required)
Note: Funding is available only for the base CLINs (0001 and 0002). Option CLINs will be funded at the Government’s discretion pending results of the initial alignment checks.
