CLEAN METAL ROOF BLDG -38

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0983 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Cleaning of Metal roof on Bldg -38 at Poplarville, MS.   The requirement is to clean the existing standing seam metal roof on Building 38 at USDA ARS Southern Horticulture Research Unit in Poplarville, MS. The current roof is original to the building and was installed when the building was erected in 2005. Mold & mildew have appeared on some sections of roof panels.  Spot test cleaning has revealed that a simple mold/mildew remover was effective at cleaning the roof. It is the objective of this project to clean the entire roof of this building and remove the unsightly buildup of mold & mildew.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561790, Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings.  The small business size standard is $9.0M dollars.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
