Active Solicitation · DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY
AI Summary
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing requires cleaning solvents, including Ethyl Alcohol, Red Vinegar, and Press Wash, to maintain operational efficiency in currency production. Interested vendors must submit quotes by June 12, 2026, and all inquiries should be directed via email. This opportunity is set aside for SBA and falls under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) at the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) and the Western Currency Facility (WCF) have a requirement for Ethyl Alcohol, Red Vinegar, and Press Wash. These cleaning solvents support the manufacturing process in providing high quality print products of which the primary is US currency and therefore must be kept in stock continuously for routine maintenance to prevent operational disruption. Without these cleaning solvents the production of US currency at BEP will be suspended, due to the buildup of old ink, which can foul the OFFSET presses.
