    SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
    1. This is a notice of intent to award a single source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. The Reference Number is FA441825Q0040.
    2. The 628th Contracting Squadron (628 CONS) located at 101 E. Hill Blvd, Joint Base Charleston (JB CHS), SC intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement to Vertical Reality, Inc. Inspect and repair existing belay system and all associated parts of the two (2) indoor climbing walls and one (1) mobile climbing wall climbing wall located at the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC), Fletcher St. Bldg 1700, Weapon Station, Goose Creek, SC and Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC), 101 Scarton Lane, Building 647, Charleston, SC and Short Stay, 211 Short Stay Lane, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. The required Period of Performance start date is 01 Sep 2025. 
    3. This notice of intent for agreement is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible sources may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
