This opportunity is categorized as a sources sought notice, inviting interested vendors to review the attached draft statement of work for further details.
The Mechanical Product Test Center (MPTC) is looking to acquire a new CT
system. The new system will expand the lab’s capabilities to test coatings, measure
dimensions, and examine the internals of parts & assemblies.
The MPTC frequently receives test exhibits that are in the finished state including
having the coatings applied and assembly completed. Technical requirements on drawing
may be applicable before coatings were applied or may be inaccessible after assembly of
multiple components. The CT system will allow measurement through coatings to allow
dimensional inspection of coated exhibits, dimensional inspection of components in the
assembled configuration, inspection of the internal soundness of parts, and inspection of
the coatings themselves.
See Attached Draft Statement of Work for more information.
